Rebecca Cross

Rebecca has been a food lawyer for over fifteen years.  She has represented some of the best known and most successful consumer-facing brands in the industry, as well as venture capital and private equity funds. She serves as outside general counsel to most of her clients — advising on risk management concerning advertising, labeling, supply and distribution chain management, IP protection, and product safety.

Rebecca is frequently cited as an expert by industry journals like Food Navigator and the New York Times, and regularly speaks at industry conferences on legal matters affecting food companies.  She also co-founded the plant-based yogurt company LAVVA, has served as pro bono counsel for non-profits advocating for animal welfare, and is on the advisory board of the Plant Based Foods Association.

Before founding Greenfare Law, Rebecca practiced in the food & beverage group of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP.   She is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
